, is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to support NSWC Corona Division’s Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) PM to deliver FST and LVC training capability.
The candidate should be able to perform a variety of systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to the development, operations, and maintenance of software, encompassing techniques and procedures often regulated by a software development process with the purpose of improving the reliability and maintainability of software systems.
possess relevant Computer Security Systems Engineering experience in performing a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized technology problems.
More About the Role: The candidate should have experience with: Establishing software information and engineering requirements which may contain millions of lines of code.
Applying the discipline of software engineering for specific technical problems and procedures, including knowledge, tools, and methods for software maintenance tasks.
Relating the disciplines of software engineering to the disciplines of computer science, computer engineering, management, mathematics, project management, quality management, software ergonomics and systems engineering necessitated by the potential complexity of software systems.
Integrating electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to Information Assurance requirements.
Conducting security assessments and security consulting services.
Analyzing information security requirements.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Twelve (12) years’ experience with a master’s degree in computer science, IT or related field.
This experience should show increasing responsibility in development or maintenance of software and/or information networks.
Meet CSWF requirements by maintaining current baseline and CE/OS certifications as necessary for Windows, Linux and Security+.
Possess the necessary training, qualifications, and experience for the IAT-III level at a minimum in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.
2 and DoD 8140/8570.
Possess experience specializing in M&S and C4I integration applications such as JBUS (DoD experience preferred), including experience in a software development management role.
Experience in software development using C/C++ and Java.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $104,200-$229,200.
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
