Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with staff, management and other internal/external customers to resolve operational issues effectively.
Monitors communication with assigned customers, responds promptly to customer requirements.
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of related laws, regulations, governing agencies, procedures, audits, programs and practices.
Handle special commodities or important customers on their international and domestic shipments including triangle shipments.
Provide quotations for import and export on both Air and Ocean freight at customer’s request or overseas agent’s request.
Function as the key escalation point for support, service issues and answer other general account questions on a timely and accurate basis.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
Review and insure key performance indicators are kept within required parameters.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
2-year Associate Degree in a related field; or combination of equivalent related education and experience.
Minimum 3 years experience in a customer service role in a related business; or combination of equivalent education and experience.
Must be knowledgeable with Import Air and Ocean operations.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal and external customers verbally and in writing.
Functional skills in Microsoft Office.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while paying attention to details.
Export experience is preferred, but not required.
Direct knowledge of carrier’s services and pricing policies is preferred, but not required.
