Responsibilities: Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers intensive residential treatment services within a secure setting.
Our programs are designed to meet the needs of youth ages 7- 17 who are experiencing emotional, psychiatric and educational difficulties.
In addition to our general psychiatric programs, we also offer specialty programs for youth with more serious challenges.
Harbor Point and its programs are fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Educational Facilities.
We are licensed by The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and the Virginia Department of Education.
We are a TRICARE®-approved and certified facility.
Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Residential Director to join our team.
The position does require therapist to work hours in the evening and on weekends.
Position Scope: The Director of Residential Services provides overall leadership of the daily operations of the residential program.
Oversees staffing, scheduling, and FTE management.
Develops, coordinates, and manages unit programs.
Conducts performance improvement activities to achieve benchmark on clinical indicators.
Facilitates training and staff development, with an emphasis on high quality residential care delivered in a cost- effective manner.

Qualifications: Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a health related or social services field is preferred.
Education can be subtituted for experience.
Licensure/ Certification: Must maintain valid CPR and HWC certification.
Experience: Five or more years direct care experience with children and adolescents in a residential or acute setting, including supervisory experience.
Physical Requirements: The Physical Requirements for this position include being able to stand, squat, kneel, sit and lie on the floor for long periods of time.
Must be able to climb, run and walk for long periods of time as well.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs of weight.
Must be able to read, write clearly, talk and listen.
Able to verbally de-escalate and physically restrain when necessary.
