*Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA is hiring a full time MD/DO Hospitalist*
*Full time position is 180 shifts annually / 15 shifts per month avg.
* *All MD's share shifts equally - rounding, swing and overnight - 24/7 onsite coverage * *Rounding shift shared by 5 MD's - typically 90-100 patients per shift* *12 hour shifts - Swing is 10a-10p M-F and 9a-9p weekends* *Night shift is 8p-8a - typically 1x per month* *This is a flexible schedule - NOT 7 on/7off - schedule is worked out by all providers 60-90 days in advance and holidays are scheduled beginning of the year* *Closed ICU* *No Procedures* *Family Medicine Residents run codes, fall assessments and overnight pronouncements* *EMR is EPIC* *Hospitalist team includes MD's and APC's working together* *Open to a new Grad MD/DO - but preference will be given to provider with 2 to 3 years of hospital work experience* _Individual must be agile and work well within a team unit.
