Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the emergency room
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient needs based on acuity level
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of {location}
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an emergency room setting
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Proficient in medical documentation and electronic health record systems
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess and respond to emergent situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
