We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our outpatient psychotherapy team.
As an LCSW or LPC, you will provide individual and group therapy services to clients seeking mental health support in an outpatient setting.
You will assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to enhance their emotional well-being and overall mental health.
This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality psychotherapy services.
*Responsibilities:*
1.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs, including gathering relevant information through interviews, assessments, and standardized tools.
2.
Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific concerns and goals.
3.
Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other appropriate modalities, to individuals and groups.
4.
Facilitate therapeutic groups focused on specific mental health topics or populations.
5.
Monitor and evaluate clients' progress through regular sessions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
6.
Provide crisis intervention services and develop safety plans for clients experiencing acute mental health crises.
7.
Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
8.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
9.
Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
10.
Stay informed about current research and advancements in the field of psychotherapy through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
*Qualifications:*
1.
Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
2.
Current and valid LCSW or LPC license in the state of Virginia.
3.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in outpatient psychotherapy.
4.
In-depth knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapy modalities and interventions.
5.
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to accurately evaluate clients' mental health needs.
6.
Proficiency in delivering individual and group psychotherapy services.
7.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
8.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
9.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
10.
Knowledge of relevant legal and ethical guidelines governing psychotherapy practice.
