*Total Fiber Recovery of Chesapeake (TFRC)* is a joint venture between Oregon-based Total Fiber Recovery, a subsidiary of Bulk Handling Systems, and the Swedish company CellMark Inc.
This new facility will annually produce over 200,000 tons of recycled pulp from mixed paper (MP) and cardboard (OCC).
The facility is under construction with operations start expected in the 4th quarter of 2023, with a total staff of 50 in place by 1st quarter of 2024.
Due to the new launch, TFRC is seeking *Millwrights *for the facility located in *Chesapeake, Virginia*.
The Millwright is tasked with making immediate repairs as needed, perform lubrication and preventative maintenance rounds, record work results in the computerized work order system, document issues, order parts, and make rounds.
*If you have these qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities…* * Own set of tools required * High school diploma and GED * One or more of the following: * Journeyman Millwright certificate with at least 5 years manufacturing experience; papermill experience is a plus * Completion of an approved maintenance millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent with at least five (5) years of experience as a millwright in an industrial manufacturing environment * An Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Certificate from an accredited vocational/community college with a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance mechanic experience * Must have knowledge of optical and laser alignments * Multi-craft abilities including pipefitting required * Proficiency in burning and welding techniques required * Experience reading and interpreting blueprints required * Proficiency in MS Office * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills * Exceptional mechanical aptitude and skills * Possess a working knowledge of metallurgy and other materials for fabrication processes * Ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours/day in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, and high-volume environment *And are interested in these responsibilities…* * Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment including centrifugal pumps, gearboxes, fans, and agitators * Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions * Performing shift rounds on all pieces of equipment in the facility * Helping resolve maintenance issues on shift as part of the team including the shift Journeyman E/I position and Operators * Installing and replacing various styles of bearings, bushings, bushings, and slides following the proper guidelines and standards * Completing pump repair and rebuilds with precision alignments * Aligning machines and equipment using optical and laser alignment equipment * Operating cranes, man-lifts, hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, and micrometers * Reading equipment instruction manuals; aligning equipment to specified tolerances * Performing lubricating maintenance, cleaning activities, or repair of tools, machines, and equipment * Working with the Team Leader on developing training for operators to develop basic skillset in machinery operations * Supporting the safe working environment by maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) *You will receive…* * Pay rate of *$34.
