Preceptors serve as a key component of success for Nurse Practitioner students while they learn skills that require hands-on teaching and focused learning.
*Preceptors must have an advanced level of clinical acumen, enjoy teaching and work at a clinical site that will allow for NP students.

Nurse Practitioner students come from a variety of clinical tracks including Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner programs and are generally in their final, most important year, of their educational journey.
*Requirements:*
*-Must have clearance from clinical site to precept students prior to applying.
*
-Hold active certification as an MD/DO/NP/PA for at least 1 year.
-Currently working as a Nurse Practitioner, MD, DO, or PA for atleast 1 year
-Work in a clinical setting that can offer a rotation in Psych/mental health (on-site or virtually), Internal medicine, Family medicine, Women’s health/OB, Pediatrics, Acute Care
*Preferred qualification:*
-Previous experience as a preceptor
