Total Fiber Recovery of Chesapeake (TFRC) is a joint venture between Oregon-based Total Fiber Recovery, a subsidiary of Bulk Handling Systems, and the Swedish company CellMark Inc.
This new facility will annually produce over 200,000 tons of recycled pulp from mixed paper (MP) and cardboard (OCC).
The facility is under construction with operations start expected in April 2024.
TFRC is seeking Operators for the facility located in Chesapeake, Virginia.
This position is a diversified role that will perform various production and maintenance tasks to meet the needs of the facility.
Operators will monitor and oversee plant processing, maintain equipment, load finished product onto trucks and more, all while maintaining the highest degree of safety.

Ability to work the DuPont Schedule, which consists of rotating 12 hour shifts, typically working 14 days out of 28, generally with 2 weekends off per month.
Ability to attend occasional meetings on off days.
Startup period will have a temporary schedule of Monday - Friday day shift
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience working in a processing/manufacturing environment required
Forklift experience required
Familiarity with industrial lab testing of any type preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Willingness to work hard, learn new processes, and safely make production goals
Display consistent positive behavior that supports the facility's goals and objectives

Operating the process from a control system, make rounds, check the health of the equipment, and make repairs as needed and trained
Tracing process piping systems and solve process issues
Operating a raw material bale truck to unload raw materials, store, feed the bale conveyor, inspect the raw material as being handled, and interface with the control system to record usage, receipts, and related items
Mixing the appropriate mix of various types of raw material bales per recipe
Assisting in maintenance repair procedures and perform equipment health diagnostics
Loading the finished product into containers/trailers and processing the appropriate documentation
Maintaining raw material and finished product inventories
Performing housekeeping to keep the facility clean and safety focused
Being trained to use a safety "toolbox" of procedures, policies, PPE, safety observations, and additional training to work safely
Participating in team meetings
Participating in maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to all guidelines and protocols when on the facility floor
