Qualifications:
A master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents; OR
A social work bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university with at least one year of documented clinical experience with children or adolescents; OR
A bachelor's degree in a human services field or in special education with at least one year of documented clinical experience with children or adolescents
QMHP-C Certification must be verified
Excellent verbal and writing skills.
In home counseling experience
Familiarity with principles and techniques of youth and family counseling
Organizational skills

Responsibilities:
Builds positive relationships with children and adolescents based on trust, caring, and individual strengths and needs.
Ensures compliance with all applicable rules, regulations and policies and procedures of the program
Conducts written assessments on clients
Develops written individualized service plans
Maintains accurate and concise notes
Identifies problem areas and needs of clients
Provides direct clinical services to clients including therapy
Provide therapeutic and crisis intervention and de-escalation on an ongoing basis as needed.
Participate in classroom, program and individual student activities to assess student, school, and program needs.
Coordinates with other involved personnel and families including child care staff
Provide follow-up care and support to students transitioning out of the Day Treatment Program, such as referring individuals to appropriate level of care.
Keep current on methods and procedures concerning working with individuals having behavioral and emotional needs to include continuing education seminars related to their field of work.
Attend and participate in Clinical Supervision meetings, staff meetings and work related trainings and events as mandated by agency
Prepares written discharge summaries and participates in discharge planning
Maintains confidentiality of all client, family, and staff information
All other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director
