Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring for a MRI Tech to work at our Advanced Imaging Center located in Norfolk, VA.

Hours/Shift: Full-time: Mon-Fri Second Shift Position Overview: In the Heart Hospital Advanced Imaging Center (HH AIC) you will be working with a team of cardiac imaging specialists, learning how to produce top-notch imaging studies.
Cardiac imaging is a rapidly evolving field which has experienced a surge in growth over the last 24 months, due to the guidelines set forth by the American College of Cardiology, naming Cardiac MRI frontline imaging for patients with chest pain.
In the HH AIC, you will learn to complete the most complex cardiac images available for high acuity patients, as well as advanced patient care for cardiac patients.
You will work closely with a care team which includes cardiologists, cardiac nurses, and imaging specialists, all with extensive experience in the field.
In the HH AIC, we are also a valued member of the research team, providing imaging for new and upcoming products and procedures which are on the cutting edge of cardiac innovation.
In the HH AIC, there is an opportunity to learn and grow every day, as you will be a part of a team which values learning and teaching, passing on skills and techniques to a new generation of technologists.
We are willing to cross train the right CT/MRI tech with no cardiac experience.
Job Requirements Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24-month program in radiologic technology in lieu of experience.
1 year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred.
CNMT or ARDMS or ARRT or ARMRIT is required.
Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within two years of hire.
BLS Performs MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers.
Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.
Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.
