Sentara Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Full Time, Sunday- Thursday, Second Shift Health Record and Info Tech for the Health Information Management department at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA.
Requirements:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required: Medical Records Data - 1 year
Position Overview:
Account and prepare all documents for precision scanning into the electronic medical record with strict attention to maintain patient confidentiality guidelines for safeguarding patient medical information.
Required to work within many different computer environments to track, scan, identify, validate and access medical records.
Responsible to maintain data and statistics to support activities.
Graduate of an approved Health Information Technology/Management training program can be substituted for one year of medical records data job experience.
Knowledge of general medical terminology.
Experience preferred working within different windows in a computer environment and ability to work in duplicate systems during periods of implementation.
Ability to multi task in a rapidly changing environment and prioritize tasks/functions.
Work individually and in a team environment.
Have organizational skills, eye-hand coordination, strong attention to detail, able to problem solve and meet process document standards as established.
