This role is critical in offering spiritual support and guidance to patients, staff, and families within the medical center, ensuring the delivery of holistic care in a clinical setting.
*MAIN OBJECTIVES* * Provide clinical supervision to Staff Chaplains, enhancing their pastoral care skills.
* Oversee the development and implementation of pastoral care programs.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations concerning pastoral care.
* Facilitate spiritual care interventions and support for patients and their families.
* Collaborate with the medical team to integrate spiritual care into patient treatment plans.
*SCHEDULE OF WORK* * Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
* Occasional weekend or evening hours may be required based on the needs of the Naval Medical Center.
*PLACE OF PERFORMANCE* * On-site at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
*PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE* * 1-year base period with four 1-year option periods.
*QUALIFICATIONS* * Professional degree in Mental Health (i.
e.
, LPC, LMFT, LCSW) or ability to attain and keep current certifications required for Virginia State License to practice; OR * Association of Clinical Pastoral Education Inc.
(ACPE) Certified Educator.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in pastoral care within a healthcare setting.
* Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision to chaplains.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
