Lead Cardiac Sonographer-Cardiology Associates $15,000 Sign-on bonus for eligible new hires! Monday through Friday: 8am to 5pm The Lead Cardiac Sonographer supervises the non-Invasive Cardiology department performs diagnostic non-invasive cardiac exams on patients using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart.
Testing modalities include Transthoracic Echocardiography and Cardiac Stress testing.
Essential Job Functions Assists in overseeing, scheduling, and coordinating the work assignments of vascular department associates.
Assists sonographers in resolving more complex technical problems by advising or demonstrating appropriate methods or techniques.
Maintains qualified staff.
Interviews, educates, reviews job performance, and terminates in alignment with the department manager and the Human Resources department.
Develops, reviews, revises, applies, and supports department and organizational policies, procedures, and processes.
Develops and maintains a Quality Assurance program in accordance with department accreditation guidelines.
Inputs data for associate time and attendance, which includes producing the on-call schedule and making changes when needed in time keeping system.
Performs all essential job functions of a Registered Cardiac Sonographer.

Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams at the level of proficiency.
Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, interpretation criteria, and correlation of cardiac exam results with other hospital procedures.

Licensing/Certification Credentialed in echocardiography by one of the following organizations required at date of hire: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
