The Donor Relations Coordinator works closely with the Major Gifts Officer and the Chief Development Officer to create and implement the Annual Fund including mail campaigns, donor recognition and solicitation, and corporate partnerships.
This position is responsible for managing a well-coordinated individual giving program designated to cultivate and solicit support from individuals and family foundations.
The Donor Relations Coordinator works closely with the MGO and CDO to strengthen existing relationships and establish new relationships with individual donors with a focus on gifts up to $10,000.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Development:
Develop, implement, and manage the annual fund strategy in support of the mission and goals of ForKids; including prospect research and maintaining a moves management plan
In conjunction with the Major Gifts Officer and Chief Development Officer, identify, cultivate and solicit individuals to support the Annual Fund with gifts up to $10,000
Strategically secures funds outside of annual campaign through corporate sponsorships.
Research donor companies corporate social responsibility, identify opportunities that align with ForKids goals, and work with MGO to create engagement initiatives and opportunities.
Conducts 1-2 personal contacts and 10-15 phone or email connections weekly with existing and prospective mid-level donors
Develop and maintain timelines for annual fundraising campaign to ensure fundraising initiatives are carried out in a timely manner.
Coordinate and attend speaking engagements and third-party events on behalf of ForKids and represent the organization at community meetings; serve as lead for corporate and donor ForKids tours
Review and update the donor revenue tracker; work with team members to identify gaps and follow up opportunities with identified donors, sponsors, and community organizations
Assist with coordination of internal NAP credit process for the organization
Contribute to the design, printing and distribution of marketing and communication materials for development efforts.
Maintain detailed donor records within the development database and generate required reports.
Works closely with volunteers through Development Events and Projects

Community Engagement:
Participate in development and fundraising activities as needed and requested (ex: meeting with donors, providing tours, attending fundraising events).
Regularly engage, support and collaborate with volunteers to provide a meaningful experience.
Education and Experience: A bachelors degree and a minimum of two years of demonstrated fundraising or relevant experience such as sales, community engagement, or marketing.

Valid drivers license with no more than three minor moving violations and/or accidents combined within the last 3 years, and no major moving violations in the past five years.
