The Strategic Communications Analyst will develop, and present reports, feedback, communications, catalogues, and newsletters specifically designed to keep DoD, Joint Staff and Service leadership informed on Service Joint Training Division (SJTD) activities and improvements.
They will document and report on the programs under the Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) umbrella to include program accomplishments.
The Strategic Communication Analyst will create strategies to communicate with all levels of leadership and staff throughout the joint training and Service training communities.
The Analyst will create communications for various SJTD staff members directed to a widely varied audience.
Work includes assignment and tracking of higher-level taskings; collation, integration and drafting of responses; management and process analyses; research; historical data collection; proposed business documents; and various types of communications – including strategic communications that reach senior leadership levels across the joint training enterprise.

This task requires expertise and an understanding or experience in participating in war games, Warfighting courses, operational planning, operations exercises, developing and evaluating new ideas.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Enhance and contribute to the ongoing development of strategic communications to SJTD stakeholders and decision makers as to the positive impact of the JNTC framework to National Defense.
Prepare and provide the monthly JNTC journal as a platform and informational digest of the impact of joint training to the Joint Staff audience.
Coordinate effort with Service LNOs to provide inputs to the JNTC Journal on a rotating basis as stipulated in the battle rhythm document.
In conjunction with SJTD and upper echelons of the Joint Staff assist with reshaping messaging as a whole toward emphasis on globally integrated operations and exercises.

or equivalent Ten years' experience in TV news, journalism, or public affairs Experience with a minimum of ten (10) years successful experience working with groups and senior officers in the planning and execution of joint military operations and training Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint Assist with analyses of exercise and training objectives to provide focus for media events and products supporting joint training activities Coordinate technical support requirements for interviews, and web sites designed to distribute multi-media products Assist with design and production of exercise and non-exercise video products Also responsible for proposing SJTD event support schedules and overseeing completion of SJTD contract deliverables.
Experienced with online research and training systems Ability to research, analyze, write, and present authoritative theses.
Able to use government training systems, execute electronic records keeping, and maintain document control Able to operate audio-visual equipment Be physically able to travel world-wide.
Travel estimate 15% Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management, staff, and departments Flexible, adaptable, self-motivated Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Secret Level Clearance for access to classified information PREFERRED Experience as a military Public Affairs Officer (PAO) Graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College or service/agency equivalent Master's degree highly preferred but not required Experience working with and around senior military and government personnel Information Systems Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office Tools and MS SharePoint Knowledge working with and manipulating JIRA database or similar relational database.
