GENERAL SUMMARY
The Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting, enhancing and evaluating the CHKDHS internet and social media strategy in support of the organization’s marketing and communications objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to website development and content management, effective search engine optimization, online advertising and usability enhancement and process improvement activities.
Reports to marketing department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the CHKDHS brand identity and favorable presence in social medial channels.
Works to enhance the organization’s online profile and communications through the strategic development of its public website, intranet site, social media sites and other internal and external platforms.
Manages multiple diverse projects concurrently.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
None required
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred
Two to three years demonstrated experience in corporate or non-profit web development and project management in health care preferred
Previous experience in the creative development of a web strategy to meet organizational goals a plus
Working knowledge of web design, page layout, online advertising, audio/video streaming, search engine optimization
Exceptional organizational and oral/written communication skills required
Superior computer skills in website design, content management, word processing and desktop publishing
Knowledge of search engine optimization/ marketing and online advertising software
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
