Job Summary:
Responsible for generating new business leads; as well as, converting existing business into contracted catered events and group hotel sales.
Additionally, manages all front of house operations and staff for Banquet Operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Possesses strong knowledge of the local catering market including group, wedding and social markets.
Seeks out new catering business to achieve revenue goals, using networking and client relation skills.
Solidifies catering sales from incoming inquiries as well as internal referrals.
Responsible for bookings, confirmations, billings, generating proposals and contracts.
Coordinates with other departments to ensure successful execution for all events.
Develops and manages catering sales revenue and operating budgets.
Through knowledge of sales techniques including strong closing skills as well as negotiating skills.
Track record of strong prospecting efforts.
Comfortable with site inspections and client presentations.
Participate in trade shows and sales functions.
Develop and implement effective marketing plans to generating catering revenues
Identify trends, research the competition products, services and pricing,
Actively participate in industry related organizations
Creative skills to provide innovative menus while working with the chef on pricing specialty menus
Work closely with the banquet department on operations and event execution.
Monitor sales performance of the sales team members and coach and counsel toward success.
Works directly with group contact regarding specific requirements from start to finish.
Involves verifying pre-arranged start and end times of functions, audio visual equipment, signage and handling of last minute changes.

American, French, etc.
Well versed in current food and beverage trends
Attends meetings to review details of scheduled functions
Coach and display superior leadership skills
Performs continuous inspection of all areas under jurisdiction to ensure standards.
Prepares work orders for maintenance of these areas
Maintains good working relationships with members of other department and serves as a liaison between departments
Available on property for group functions and casino events.
Meets budgeted figures for labor and other expenses.
Formulates, administers and enforces departmental policies and performance standards.
Notifies team members and supervisors of changes in policy and procedure.
Establishes performance and profit objectives for short-term and long-term goals.
Maintains files in such a way that another manager could perform efficiently in the event of his/her absence.
Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Promotes the Casino through good will and positive attitude.
Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction throughout the property, in the area of banquets operations, is achieved and maintained.
Maintains high sanitation and safety standards.
Ensures departmental compliance with applicable federal and state laws governing food & beverage.
Maintains sufficient materials and products in the work location.
Maintains security of products and areas assigned to department.
Understands that this is a 24-hour responsibility and is accessible at all times.
Maintains professional grooming and appearance and acts as a role model according to established policy.
Ensures that all Team Members are treated in a fair and consistent manner.
Performs any other duties as specified or assigned by the Director or any member of the Executive Management.
Develop and train sales team approach with all banquet personnel.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
At least four years of catering sales experience.
At least two years of Hospitality Management experience
Proficient in Google Suite
Proficiency in database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software.
Flexible availability that includes weekends and holidays.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
The ability to analyze, resolve problems and exercise good judgment in decision-making.
Ability to work successfully without direct supervision.
The ability to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.
The ability to obtain and retain all required licenses.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to walk, stand, see, talk, hear, use hands and fingers and reach
with hands and arms.
The ability to stoop and kneel.
The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
