As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in your assigned territory/(ies).
Your primary focus will be on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and promoting our freight forwarding services.
This role requires a deep understanding of the logistics industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the assigned territories.
Identify and prospect potential clients in various industries.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in target companies.
Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and pricing, to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements and satisfaction.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure new business partnerships.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies accordingly.
Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions to clients and maintain a competitive edge.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Provide regular reports and updates to the management team on sales activities, pipeline, and market insights.
Follow Sales Incentive Plan guidelines when managing sales activity and report KPIs to SVP of Sales EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Successful completion of high school, or equivalent, plus additional job-related coursework or specialized training.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Cargo Wise software(s) programs or similar.
Minimum 3 years of experience in export operations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
