Primary Purpose:
Marketing of commercial insurance accounts to Carriers/Brokers; working with Producers and the Commercial Teams obtaining new and renewing existing commercial accounts.
Maintain a good working relationship with producers, underwriters and other carrier personnel.
Essential Responsibilities:
Work with producers, AM and AE to prepare and send full submissions to Underwriters/Brokers by working directly with them and through website rating systems.
Review policies and make coverage recommendations.
Negotiate coverages and pricing with the carriers/wholesalers as part of the marketing process
Prepare new business submissions to market including applications
Obtain supplemental information from Producers for submissions
Prepare spreadsheets such as Statement of Values and Loss Summaries for submissions
Attach all Marketing emails and documentation to clients and prospects in EPIC
Prepare proposals; can participate in the proposal presentation to clients at the request of the producer
Bind coverage with carriers and brokers via email and keep Account Managers informed
Transition accounts to Team Leaders or Account Managers for billing, issuing
Work with producers using Mod Master to project experience mods
Maintain an electronic Marketing and Contract files
Update Carrier information on the Intranet
Assist with and attend Carrier meetings, including attending carriers meetings out of town when necessary
Meet with producers and teams to discuss new business and renewal marketing needs in advance.
Maintain positive working relationships with Underwriters and other Carrier personnel.
Provide backup support during the absence of other Marketing team members
Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong level of experience in the commercial insurance industry
Ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Excel and Word
Highly motivated team player
Ability to work independently.
Ability to travel to other Towne offices and Carrier offices.
Strong communication skills with an ability to work with employees at various levels
Dependability and punctuality
Desired Skills & Competencies:
Prior commercial insurance marketing experience
Physical Requirements:
Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally
Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time
Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation
Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
