Essential Responsibilities:
Oversees delegation of duties within the team
Oversight of team members timecards, including PTO management
Completes performance reviews and provides coaching and development for Commercial Lines team members
Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training of team members
Attends internal office meetings as necessary
Conduct monthly team meetings
Monitor team reports and hold team members accountable for outstanding items
Manage commercial book of business
Keeps P & C License active and increases insurance knowledge by attending continuing education classes
Handles other duties as assigned
Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
Able to work independently
Current P & C License
Minimum five years’ experience in Commercial Insurance
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Problem solver and critical thinker
Strong attention to detail
Excellent telephone skills
Dependable and punctual
Computer skills (Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook)
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Applied Epic experience preferred
Previous supervisory experience
Previous experience with insurance software
Insurance industry designations
