SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking an experienced, reliable Construction Manager to work full time in Norfolk, VA to help support operations for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Ocean Service (NOS).
SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 150 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional, non-personal services to support federal and military organizations.
The Pay for this position will be $100,000 annually.
The benefits include 11 paid federal holidays per year, 80 hours of annual accrued Paid Time Off (equivalent to 10 paid days off), and a medical, health, dental, and life insurance optional package.
The schedule for this position will consist of a firm, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday work requirement.
The availability that will be required of the candidate will be, not exceeding eight hours per day, Monday through Friday, 0700-1700 Eastern Standard Time (EST).
The Construction Manager must possess these key qualifications to be eligible for this job:
Individuals must possess a minimum of five (5) years of recent experience managing capitalization projects for multiple facilities, including previous experience working on federal projects.
Individuals must have the ability to pass NOAA security processes and be eligible to receive a Common Access Card (CAC).
Responsibilities include the following areas:
Provide project management and technical engineering support in development of a comprehensive facility management and capitalization plan to support the over 431 properties (~415,000 square feet), 240 monitoring stations, and other real property operated and maintained by the program offices.
In coordination with staff, develop a framework for NOS facility management and capitalization plan.
Use existing data and resources to develop a comprehensive management and capitalization plan for NOS’s facilities (owned, leased), real property, and monitoring stations.
Assist program offices in developing statements of work and cost estimates for maintenance, operation, and replacement.
Assist Management and Budget Office with NOAA facility data calls, as needed.
Qualifications:
Individuals must possess five (5) years of recent experience providing accurate and reliable project construction estimates, schedules, and statements of work.
Previous experience working on a federal Project.
Experience should include planning, coordinating, and tracking assigned project(s) based on overall objectives, milestones, expected results, and constraints in support of program functions or designated area of responsibility.
Experience should include construction, engineering, and architectural expertise in facilities such as Laboratories, Scientific Research Spaces and Buildings, HVAC Systems, Piers, Docks, Office Buildings, Remote sites, and Utilities.
Individuals must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
)
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
